We were thrilled to welcome Fiddle N' Fun, a Rhode Island-based child musician & performer, to our outdoor learning and nature play program at Sandy Point Beach! Led by the charismatic "Mister Joel," Fiddle N' Fun captivated our young audience with a delightful mix of guitar and violin performances. The session was more than just a musical treat; it was an interactive and immersive experience. Mister Joel brought along puppets, parachutes, and child-sized fiddles, allowing the children to engage deeply with the art of music. His high-energy instruction kept the kids entertained and eager to participate, making the day both educational and fun.

Fiddle N' Fun is an independent music education program designed specifically for preschool-aged children and their caregivers. Each 30-45 minute class is a unique, hands-on learning experience that combines general music activities with Suzuki-style violin instruction. The children at our event had the opportunity to play Fiddlestix, a specially designed single-stringed instrument that prepares young players for learning the violin. The enthusiasm and joy in their faces were a testament to the effectiveness of Mister Joel's teaching methods. We're excited to incorporate Fiddle N' Fun's engaging musical activities into all future Ocean State Kids programs, ensuring that music and movement remain a core part of our children's learning and play experiences.
